I'd like to start taking commissions. This is my first time, so I'll try my best to detail my requirements.
1) How many per month?
Let's start with three commissions a month. If things work out, I can increase my commission slots later on, assuming there is a demand.
2) How much?
It varies. For a simple portrait/full figure with little to no background: US$12. Add another $5 for a second character. For a portrait/full figure in a scene, i.e. full background: US$22 - $40 depending on how intricate the background is. Payment is through PayPal: 50 percent to be paid first and the rest after I email the art.
3) What is on the menu?
a) Digital painting only. I don't know how to do photo manipulations or matte paintings. I can do traditional pencil sketches, but mailing it will be a pain, so no.
b) Adult people. Non-mature content. No violent, racist or insulting content. I can do sensual but to be safe, think PG-13.
c) Only famous or fictional people/OCs. I don't feel comfortable doing a portrait of a client, client's friends or family.
d) No animals as the main subject (part of background is OK).
e) No landscapes or cityscapes as the main subject (part of background is OK).
4) What styles?
I prefer realism, but I am willing to do graphic novel/comic book and art nouveau. No manga, anime or chibis.
I am a self-taught artist, so please don't hold me to a crazy-high standard. But I promise to do my best work, always.
If interested, you can drop me a note and tell me what you want in the painting. I reserve the right to refuse requests at my discretion. Thanks.

Early Access and Process
This Tier will get you early access to my work as well as my work in progress / art process.
$5/month
Summer Holidays
I'm on leave for a few weeks.
Anyway, I just wanted to give everyone's a head's up if I'm a bit slow to respond; it just means I don't have an Internet connection.
The art features will be on hold in the meantime. See you in a month.
Of Rifts and Regrets
My aunt died today.
I wasn't particularly close to her and her passing wasn't totally unexpected, but I'm upset regardless. This is because when she died, she was alone.
That's not totally accurate. In a physical sense, at the moment of her death, she had her family with her: my mother, her husband and son, and her siblings. But she was alone when she last saw the world; for years she was estranged from her husband and son, and had managed to almost alienate the rest of her family. She was alone when she fell or collapsed in the street; some stranger called 911 and the hospital managed to track down her brother for emergency surgery. She fe
Art Theft 101: A Lesson in What Not to Do
Well hell ... I actually discovered an art thief. :omg:
Art theft was always something I saw after-the-fact and as a bystander. I knew about it, I heard about it and I've seen the dArama that occurs before, during and after the takedown. But I never thought I would actually be the one to discover it and be the instigator in getting an alleged art thief caught. And like many other instances of thieves getting caught, the guilty party was stupid enough to 1) steal an artwork from a famous artist in her circle and 2) draw attention to herself.
The tiny little dArama all began with an innocuous enough comment at the group where I admin: :iconWe
Wonderful Watchers' Work #4
This month I decided to focus primarily on photography (including stock). My husband helped me finalize the works to be featured, because if it was solely left up to me, I would feature everything. :XD: Anyway, hope you guys like this month's feature.
