Scarlet

Depending on how I feel, this may be the first painting of a color series. Red (scarlet) for me denotes passion and sensuality. I don't think I showcased the color well though I love the sensuality of the piece. I may have to rework this.

All done with Photoshop and Wacom Intuos 4 tablet.

Things I learned, painting satin is fun although I'm not sure if I succeeded, especially since I had no reference for the bed sheet. Painting the sheer cloth is also cool -- I think I somewhat did a good job and I like the results. I also tried to do a blurry painting of the windows to create depth of field; it's not perfect but I just have to keep on practicing.
